When a recruiter is matching a person to a job, he scans the CV of the person, picks up valuable assets of this person and matches this to the available vacancy specifications. The higher educated this person is, the more information there is in the CV and the more difficult the matching process becomes. By scanning the CV, the recruiter implicitly looks for assets that deviate the person from all other CVs that he has seen. This gives him an overall impression of the candidate and his capabilities. This seems to be the information he needs to make a judgment on which job matches the candidate best.
